Credit Usage Policy
This Policy explains how Wistudi credits are purchased, awarded, used, restored, refunded and managed.
1. About Wistudi credits
Credits are digital Platform units used for selected creator actions on Wistudi, including eligible publishing actions and selected advanced features.
Credits are not money, a bank balance, cryptocurrency, a stored-value payment account, transferable property or a cash-equivalent asset. Credits cannot be withdrawn or redeemed for cash unless Wistudi expressly states otherwise or applicable law requires a remedy.
2. Who can use credits
Credits are intended for eligible creators, instructors and other authorised account holders. Users must be at least 16 years old to purchase credits independently.
Learners do not normally need credits merely to access or complete learning content shared with them.
3. What credits may be used for
Credits may be required for publishing Pages within a Flow, publishing eligible XP Videos, publishing a new content version, using selected Extended or Premium Blocks, accessing designated advanced creator features, or other actions clearly identified as credit-based.
Wistudi will display the required credit amount before a credit-based action is confirmed.
4. Actions that do not normally use credits
Credits are not normally deducted merely for creating an account, accessing Learner Space, completing shared content, creating an initial draft, editing an unpublished draft, previewing your own content, saving changes, reordering Pages or Blocks, reviewing learner activity, grading submissions, providing feedback or using standard account settings.
A credit charge applies only when Wistudi clearly identifies the relevant action as credit-based.
5. Block levels
Wistudi may classify eligible Blocks as Basic, Extended or Premium. A Page's publishing level may be determined by the highest-level eligible Block included on that Page.
- Basic Blocks provide standard content or activity functionality.
- Extended Blocks provide more advanced interactions or functionality.
- Premium Blocks provide specialised or advanced functionality.
Formatting Blocks or other Blocks that do not carry a publishing classification do not increase a Page's publishing level unless Wistudi clearly states otherwise.
6. How Flow publishing costs are calculated
Flow publishing costs are normally calculated per eligible Page. The applicable publishing level and total credit requirement will be shown before publication is confirmed.
If a Page contains a Premium Block, that Page may be treated as Premium for publishing purposes. If a Page contains Extended Blocks but no Premium Block, it may be treated as Extended. Exact rates may change for future transactions.
7. When credits are deducted
Credits are deducted only after a User confirms an eligible credit-based action. For publishing, Wistudi should show the applicable content, credit cost and relevant confirmation before the credits are used.
Adding a Block to an unpublished draft does not itself deduct credits unless the Platform clearly states otherwise.
8. Publishing confirmation
Before credits are deducted, Wistudi may display the content being published, the number of eligible Pages or items, relevant Block levels, total credit cost, current credit balance and expected balance after publication.
Users are responsible for reviewing the displayed information before confirming the action.
9. Publishing requirements
Having sufficient credits does not guarantee that content can be published. Content may also need to meet required settings, completion requirements, supported formats, moderation standards, technical requirements and Wistudi policies.
10. Insufficient credit balance
Where an account does not have enough credits, a credit-based publishing action or feature may be unavailable until the balance is sufficient. Existing drafts should remain saved and existing published content should not normally be deleted solely because the current balance is insufficient.
11. Purchasing credits
Credits may be purchased through payment options made available by Wistudi. Before purchase, Wistudi will display the number of credits, total price, currency, applicable taxes where required, payment method and any relevant cancellation or refund information.
Credits are normally added after payment has been successfully confirmed. Payment processing may be provided by an authorised third-party payment provider.
12. Promotional, trial and reward credits
Wistudi may issue free, promotional, trial, complimentary or reward credits for onboarding, creator milestones, campaigns, events, partnerships, referrals, Template activity, service recovery or other approved activities.
These credits may be subject to an expiry date, usage restrictions, account restrictions, campaign terms or maximum redemption limits. The applicable expiry date and any special conditions should be shown when the credits are issued.
Promotional, trial, complimentary and reward credits have no cash value and are not refundable.
13. Credit expiration
Purchased credits do not expire while the account remains active and in good standing and Wistudi continues to operate the relevant credit system, unless a different rule is clearly disclosed before purchase and permitted by law.
Promotional, trial, complimentary or reward credits may expire according to the expiry date displayed when they are issued. There is no default guaranteed promotional-credit duration.
Where technically possible, Wistudi may use credits with the nearest expiry date first.
14. Changes to credit prices
Wistudi may increase or decrease the number of credits required for future actions. Changes may reflect feature complexity, processing costs, product development, commercial changes or promotional pricing.
Changes apply prospectively. Wistudi will not retroactively add charges to a completed transaction or reduce a valid recorded balance without a legitimate reason such as error, fraud, reversal or misuse.
15. Editing published content
Minor permitted edits to published content may not require an additional credit payment. A new charge may apply where an update creates a new version, adds Pages, adds higher-level Blocks, changes the publishing classification of a Page, introduces major graded content, requires republication, or uses another credit-based feature.
The applicable cost must be shown before the updated publication is confirmed.
16. New versions
Creating or editing a Draft Version does not normally deduct credits. Credits may be charged when that Draft Version is published, based on the current version-publishing rules and any applicable changes shown before confirmation.
17. Deleting, archiving or unpublishing content
Credits are not restored merely because a User deletes, archives, unpublishes, replaces, stops sharing or stops using published content, removes a Page or Block, or changes their mind after a successful publication.
Credits pay for the completed publishing or feature action, not for a guaranteed amount of learner activity, views, engagement or results.
18. Failed publishing actions
Credits should not be permanently deducted where publication fails solely because of a verified Wistudi technical error. Wistudi may automatically restore the affected credits, retry the publication without a second charge, or manually restore the credits after review.
If credits were deducted but the content did not publish successfully, contact support@wistudi.com with the account email, content title, approximate transaction time, credit amount and any available screenshot or error message.
19. Duplicate credit charges
If credits are deducted more than once for the same confirmed action because of a verified Wistudi error, the duplicate amount will be restored. This does not apply where the User separately confirmed distinct actions, publications or versions.
20. Content removed for policy violations
Credits are not normally restored when published content is removed, restricted or disabled because it infringes copyright, uses content without sufficient permission, breaches Wistudi policies, contains prohibited material, violates third-party platform rules or was published using false or misleading information.
21. External content availability
Credits are not normally restored merely because an external video or other third-party resource later becomes deleted, private, geographically restricted, age restricted, unavailable for embedding, removed for copyright reasons or unavailable because of a third-party outage.
A restoration may be considered where a verified Wistudi integration error, rather than the external provider, caused the credit-based publication to fail.
22. Refunds
Purchased Wistudi credits are generally non-refundable.
Credits that have already been used for a completed publication, feature, Template-related action or other confirmed credit-based transaction are not refundable or restorable merely because the User later deletes, archives, unpublishes, replaces, stops using or changes their mind about the content or service.
Unused purchased credits are also not normally refundable simply because a User no longer wishes to use Wistudi or closes their account.
Exceptions may apply where:
- a duplicate payment was processed;
- an incorrect amount was charged;
- purchased credits were not delivered;
- a verified Wistudi technical error materially prevented the purchased credits from being used;
- a refund is required by applicable law; or
- Wistudi expressly determines that a refund is appropriate in exceptional circumstances.
Nothing in this Policy limits statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
23. Immediate access to purchased credits
Credits are normally made available immediately after purchase. Where required by law, Wistudi may request consent to immediate supply and acknowledgement that using digital credits or related services may affect a statutory cancellation right or the amount refundable.
24. Credit transfers
Credits are assigned to the account that receives them. Unless Wistudi expressly provides an authorised transfer feature, credits may not be transferred, sold, traded, gifted, exchanged between personal accounts, combined with another account or moved after account closure.
25. No cash value
Credits cannot be withdrawn as money, converted into cash, used outside Wistudi, used as payment between Users, pledged as financial security or made to earn interest.
26. Account closure
Closing an account does not automatically create a right to a refund or transfer of unused credits. Promotional, trial, complimentary and reward credits end when the account is permanently closed unless Wistudi expressly states otherwise.
If Wistudi permanently discontinues the credit system or closes an account without User fault, Wistudi may provide a reasonable use period, replacement Platform benefits, an eligible refund or another fair remedy where appropriate or required by law.
27. Suspended or restricted accounts
Credits may be temporarily unavailable while an account is suspended or under investigation for suspected fraud, payment abuse, account compromise, copyright infringement, policy evasion, credit manipulation, unauthorised resale or other Platform abuse.
A temporary restriction does not automatically remove the recorded credit balance.
28. Payment reversals and chargebacks
If a credit purchase is reversed, cancelled, disputed or charged back, unused credits from that transaction may be removed. Where the credits have already been used, Wistudi may record a negative balance or restrict future credit-based actions until the matter is resolved.
Users should contact support@wistudi.com first where possible so that suspected billing errors can be investigated.
29. Credit records and disputes
Wistudi may maintain records showing credits purchased, awarded, used, restored, expired, transaction dates, related actions and current balance. Platform transaction records will normally be treated as the primary record unless evidence of an error is provided.
To dispute a credit transaction, contact Support with the account email, transaction date, credit amount, content or feature involved, reason for the dispute and any supporting screenshots or receipts.
30. Misuse of credits
Users must not exploit technical errors to obtain credits, create multiple accounts to collect promotional credits, manipulate reward programmes, resell credits, transfer accounts to move credits, use stolen payment information, reverse a valid payment after using credits, interfere with credit calculations or circumvent publishing requirements.
Wistudi may correct balances, withhold or reverse improperly obtained credits, and restrict accounts where misuse is identified.
31. Template remix rewards
Wistudi may offer credit rewards or other promotional benefits to the original contributor of an approved Template when another User completes an eligible remix or other qualifying Template action.
Any Template reward is a discretionary Platform incentive and is not a royalty, licence fee, revenue share, salary, commission or guaranteed form of compensation.
Wistudi may introduce, modify, increase, decrease, suspend or discontinue Template reward programmes for future qualifying activity, change eligibility rules or qualifying actions, introduce limits, or replace a credit reward with another promotional benefit. A reward offered at one time does not guarantee the same reward for future remixes.
Credits that have already been validly awarded will not ordinarily be removed solely because the reward programme later changes. Wistudi may withhold or reverse rewards obtained through error, fraud, duplicate activity, self-remixing, coordinated artificial activity, policy violations or other misuse.
Template-related permissions, attribution, reuse and remix rights are governed by the Template Publishing and Remix Terms.
32. Changes to this Policy
Wistudi may update this Policy to reflect new content types, publishing models, credit features, legal requirements, pricing changes, security improvements or Platform changes. Changes will not retroactively alter a completed credit transaction except where necessary to correct an error, fraud or unlawful activity.
33. Contact Wistudi
